This morning after we woke up, we decided to head up to the Raven Cafe in Port Huron for a delicious breakfast. This was my Fiance’s first time here and he loved it as much as I do!
I had the breakfast pita pizza & raspberry mocha coffee shake, and he had a b.e.l.t sandwich & a vanilla latte.
We really didn’t have a game plan for the rest of the afternoon. Due to his back injury we couldn’t do anything strenuous, so we embarked on a scenic drive, stopping at a few lookouts and little towns a long the way. Little did we know this was going to turn into a 2 hour drive up to Port Austin, but it was wonderful! I have lived in Michigan my whole life and really hadn’t done too much exploring of my own state.
Once we got to Port Austin we grabbed some lunch at a restaurant called The Bank 1884. We sat outside at a little pub table outside and enjoyed the nice warm breeze. I had the house made quiche of the day and a fabulous watermelon mimosa. Logan had the prime rib sandwich and a Rochester mills beer.
I wonder where our next day trip will be! Maybe Caseville…or Saginaw? We will see 🙂
