Of course on my day off today the weather was not-so cooperative. But it turned into a nice day of relaxation with the kitty cat 🙂
I hadn’t cooked anything in a while so I decided, as usual, to wing it!
Spicy Dijon Chicken & Garlic Brussel Sprouts
This recipe is pretty much all dependent on your preferences, so no actual measurements for the seasonings and what not. But you’ll need:
- Garlic Seasoning
- Red Pepper Flakes
- Southwest Mrs. Dash
- Bread Crumbs (regular or Italian)
- Chicken Thighs
- Dijon Mustard
- Brussel Sprouts
- Mrs. Dash Table Blend
For the chicken:
First, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place chicken on a pan and coat with Dijon mustard. Sprinkle with as much garlic, red pepper flakes, and southwest Mrs. Dash as you enjoy. Then coat with a thin layer of breadcrumbs.
Bake chicken for about an hour or until there is no pink on the inside.
For the Brussel Sprouts:
Place the fresh sprouts in a steamer and coat with garlic seasoning and Mrs. Dash table blend.
Steam for about 30 minutes or to desired tenderness.
Serve with any choice of sides. I preferred garlic toast & cheesy rice (with green beans) 🙂
