Jardin de Balata

My quick visit to Martinique this past January was something I will never forget. Before I talk about the breathtaking Jardin de Balata, I must say that pulling into port in Martinique was out of this world. Felt a little like I was looking at “Jurassic Park.”

Even managed to capture the end of a rainbow during a little sprinkle.

Located on the island of Martinque (a small region of France tucked away in the Caribbean), Jardin de Balata is a stunning garden. Our tour guide informed us that the man who created it was a scientist and an artist, and with his skills spent years strategically planting different flowers and plants to make this stunning place. Jardin de Balata is a short bus ride up through the winding mountains. I highly suggest going on a tour due to the lack of English-speaking residents. It can be a bit confusing! Logan and I took a tour through the Royal Caribbean cruise we were on.

Out of all the gardens I have been to, this has been my absolute favorite. What is the best garden you have visited?
