Low Sugar Strawberry Trifle

Happy Easter weekend! No sign of snow (thankfully) and we are staying above freezing as of now! Looks like Spring is here to stay.

Easter is a time to spend with family and indulge a little more than usual. If you’re like me and trying to cut back on sugar, this dessert is perfect for you. It still is satisfying to the sweet tooth, but not as bad health wise. This is definitely one of the EASIEST and most delicious desserts I make.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of sugar-free yellow cake mix
  • 2 small boxes of sugar-free cheesecake pudding
  • 2 pints of strawberries sliced
  • 1 small container of lite or sugar-free cool whip

Step one:

Prepare cake according to package. Slice into small cubes. While cake is cooling, make pudding according to package.

Step two:

Slice both pints of strawberries in half if you like bigger chunks, I chose thirds.

Step three:

In a large round bowl, layer (in order) half of the cubed cake pieces, half the cheesecake pudding, half the container of cool whip, and 1 pint of sliced strawberries.

Step four:

Repeat layering with the remaining ingredients. Chill for 4-5 hours or overnight. Most importantly….ENJOY! 🙂
